I never take for granted what a person might be portraying on the outside, with what they might be experiencing on the inside. I have met, what seems to be, confidence individuals, who are struggling with some of life's biggest challenges. These individuals seem optimistic, resilient, and in control; yet, they are dealing with illness, death of a loved one, a catastrophic event such as the loss of a home, a fatal medical prognosis, etc.
I think about the choices we each make every day. Although we can't control all the things that might happen in our lives, we have choices. We have a choice in how we respond to uncontrollable life circumstances, and we also have a choice in how we treat others.
Be kind to yourself when you are faced with unpredictable life challenges, and be kind to others....you never know the battle they are facing. Simply put....Be kind. Always.
